Reverend Eunkyong Kim was born and raised in South Korea. She loves serving God and God's people and finds joy in a loving relationship with God and others.
She earned an M.Div and S.T.M. from Drew Theological School. Her ministry background includes several years in children's and music ministry. She served Cedar Cliff UMC prior to coming to Newfoundland. She enjoys serving in different churches, finding God's grace and spiritual gifts in them all. She is blessed to serve the UMC at Newfoundland, a faith community filled with the love of God that demonstrates that love by putting it into practice as the hands and feet of Christ.
She is married to JongIn, who is also a United Methodist pastor. They have a daughter and a small dog. When away from the church, Eunkyong enjoys family hiking and swimming.

The United Methodist Church is a global denomination that opens hearts, minds and doors through active engagement with our world. A United Methodist is someone who puts faith and love into action.
We believe God's grace is open to all and therefore we practice open communion - all are welcome at the table.
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, accepted by anyone of their own free will.
We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of the universe.
We believe in the Trinity, one God known in three persons - Father, Son and holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, fully human and fully divine.
And we sometimes agree to disagree on the details, but not the substance of our beliefs. We remain of one heart centered on the love of God for all God's children as demonstrated in the life of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

We serve our community in various ways throughout the year. These include:
Back To School Supply Drive
Thanksgiving Baskets
Crossroads Food Pantry
Christmas Giving Tree
UMCOR Disaster Relief

Prayer Chain Ministry
United Women in Faith Mission Project
We also respond to emerging needs in our community, our nation and our world.

We welcome you to our Sunday service, where we come together to worship and hear a message from our pastor. Our service starts at 10:00am and lasts approximately 45 minutes. We look forward to seeing you there!

We operate the Angels Community Thrift Shop (ACTS) which is open on Thursday from 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 2 pm.

Bright Beginnings is our church-operated learning center and daycare serving children from 6 months of age to 12 years, including preschool and Pre-K.

The church provides a number of opportunities to get involved, including Bible studies, Sunday School, a handbell choir, and an adult choral group. There are also mission opportunities throughout the year.
